Its this lovely cream colour with her favorite signature rose gold stars, if you know Fleur or watch her videos she loves stars. There is also a light dusting of pastel shades of blue and purple and pinks it's just stunning but nice and subtle.
It has rose gold zip and rose golden studs at the sides which is great to make the bag bigger and could even use as a wash bag.

Here are contents of things I keep in this bag mostly at all times, obviously I switch it up a bit and add different products and eye palettes from my collection.

My Shadows of choice at moment are from the bodyshop now I will do a full review on this at some point as I haven't used this enough yet to give my full thoughts as only received it for christmas.

I feel this is a great choice as its compact and also has a good mix of as the palette says down to earth shadows.

I also have thee NYX angel veil skin perfecting primer which is oil free.

I also carry the botanics radiance all bright balm which there is a blog post on this stuff is fantastic.

I carry a sample of foundation current one is dior, then a Bobbi Brown bb cream in fair with spf 35.

For more coverage Giorgio Armani luminous silk  foundation in shade 3.5

For concealing and highlighting under eyes I have, estee lauder double wear pot in shade light I use that on spots.

The stick stay in place double wear concealer in medium light cool for under eyes, and then YSL touche eclat in number one with the limited edition red lips on packaging.

Two different highlighters Becca shimmering skin perfector pressed in shade opal which is super pigmented but beautiful.

Nude finish illuminating powder by Bobbi Brown shade nude, which is like a brick with different nude shades.

Tarte blush in shade exposed.

Colourpop gel brown eye liner.

Two mascaras one a mini sample of Mac False lashes extreme black.

And a Peter Thomas Roth lashes to die for.

A glass pot of Bobbi Brown long wear gel eyeliner no.7 espresso ink.

Small sephora shadow which is very shimmery in movie popcorn.

Travel sized pot of Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Repair Cream that you get with ordering certain amount of products from there site.

Finally a Real Techniques retractable lip brush.

As Mentioned I change it up and would also add in more products and  definitely make up brushes and sponges, as it stands this is what is currently in there.

I would love to know what you carry in yours leave comments and even ideas of products and handy tips in the comments section like and share.

Skin Masks & Treatments

Hey Folks Another post for 2017, these posts aren't going to be on specific days or times I like to post when I feel inspired.

Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel With Active Charcoal Nose Strips.

I bought these as I have always suffered with plenty blackheads on my nose.

These two step nose pore strips come in a box of five treatments costing £5.99.
Photo From My Instagram.

Step 1. Wash and Cleanse your face as normal pat your face but don't have a completely dry face as the nose strip will not adhere to a dry nose. So had a slightly damp nose.

As soon as you remove the strip from packet instantly apply it onto your nose making sure the black charcoal activated side is on the nose, the active charcoal is within the strip to detox the skin and remove excess oils and impurities within the blackheads and pores.

Leave this strip on the nose to dry for 15 mins, what I do is set timer on my I phone and once the time is up go to bathroom and wet the strip to make it come off easier, then you should see little not so lovely but better for your skin blackheads on the black charcoal strip.

 Instagram Picture Of Step Two.

Step 2. Moisturise strip that come with the treatments, I tone my skin after using strip in step one then I add this one to nose and set timer for 20-30 mins personally I only leave on for 20 mins then I remove it.

To Apply this second step remove the clear plastic from the trip and pop onto nose and just leave to do it job.

This strip has the antibacterial tea tree oil and skin calming witch hazel that nourishes,  tightens the pores.

It is advised to use these treatments 1-2 times continually.

I have found that unfortunately I end up with some spots on my nose I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not. But I just wanted to put it out there that for me personally until using these I didn't have spots on my nose.

Apricot Exfoliating Self Heating Mask By Superdrug.

I have used these on a few occasions the one step of skin care that I lack in doing is exfoliating and its the one i need to do the most to make my skin look plumper and less dull.

These are fantastic and very affordable there ideal for normal to dry skin.

its got crushed apricot seeds with bamboo powder that polish and purify the skin.

It says that with the mix of apricot seeds and bamboo powder this helps to exfoliate and rid your skin of dead skin cells, the subtle warming sensation helps to open the pores and melt the impurities for a smooth and better complexion.

To use this splash face with lukewarm water and then apply this mask to your face avoiding the eyes and lips and massage into the neck area.
Leave on skin for 10-15 minutes then rinse off and your skin feels smoother and looks refreshed.

I try to use this at least once a month but you can use it regularly but I don't I use my other exfoliator every few days.

Black Seaweed Peel Off Mask.

I have recently tried this mask again it is from superdrug and is totally affordable.

This one contains laver seaweed and sea buckthorn to deeply cleanse and detoxify.
It say ideal for oily skin  I don't have oily skin per say apart from around my nose.

This gently lifts away dirt and grease to reveal beautiful skin.

Apply to cleansed dry face avoid the eyes and lips leave on for 10-20 minutes and carefully peel the mask away from the skin and wash off any residue with warm water and pat face dry.

Again advise on packet is to use regularly.

I tend to use masks mostly like once or twice a month like on a Sunday night might have myself a wee pamper.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Sink In Moisture Sleeping Mask.

My best friend swears by this range from body shop and she uses it constantly.
I have tried a few item in the past and I got on with it ok.

But at Christmas time I decided that I should get myself some face masks and decided to try this one out.

This mask helps restore an protect the skin's optimum moisture level. you're advised to  apply a generous layer onto your cleansed skin 1-1 times a week and leave on your skin overnight to do its work.

It a pink wobbly consistency and smells so fresh and and light scented.

comes in  a 100ml tub priced at £11.00.

Its suitable for all skin types.

And is just fantastic for skin hydration I again use this twice a week after my normal skincare routine and my skin feels more plump and hydrated in the morning when I wake.

I hope that this has been informative for you all and I would love to hear of other products so leave them in the comments and I will be back with another post soon.

My Skin Care Routine

Hey everyone Happy New Year I'm Kicking off with a skin care post since its a New Year and all.

My skin type is slightly oily around my nose but mostly combination with slight sensitivity and dryness.

I'm sure like everyone you have tried out a lot of skin care products and brands. Some have worked for me and plenty have failed.
having gone to Elemis counter last year and having a skin test and also being given some samples to try out I decided that Elemis worked great for me.
I cannot highly recommend enough going to cosmetic counters and asking plenty of questions and ask for samples. If you don't ask you don't get right!. And most importantly trying before you buy is definitely the best option especially as some products can be a little expensive.

I am going to go into a little of what I use and do.

1. Elemis Pro Radiance Cream Cleanser;-

I use this everyday, you put it onto your face dry or even on top of your make up, leave it for a few minutes then remove it with the mitt that comes along with this product.

It smells amazing and this is the second bottle I have purchased it lasts for at least six months if not more with using it everyday.

This particular toner effectively  tones the skin and maintains PH levels without using harsh alcohol or detergents.
This also retails at £22.50

4. Gentle Rose Exfoliator;-

I am going to start by saying it must be said that the feeling of exfoliating is weird to some people, but it is such an important step.

I try to do it within my routine a couple of times a week. You definitely wouldn't do it on a daily basis.

This is a smoothing polish, leaves the skin feeling radiant and with micro-spherical jojoba beads blended with hydrating rose absolute this is a natural and less abrasive way to remove the dead skin and dirt making your skin smooth and less dull.

There is alos cucumber extracts rich in vitamin C an this product retails at £30.00 for 50mls.

Zoeva Rose Gold Palette

Hello guys and welcome back hope you're all having a fantastic saturday whatever you're getting upto.

Today I am going to be posting about the beautiful zoeva rose golden palette.

Well let's start of by saying how gorgeous is this packaging its absolutely stunning rose gold heaven.

I received this beauty for my birthday in 2015 its my 1st ever Zoeva make up to be added to my collection.

This palette has 10 stunning eyeshadows ranging from matte texture to metallic finish and some satin finishes.

The shadows in this palette are so pigmented and rose golden to a royally darker shades and some shimmery natural tones.

Being into my neutral, brown and bronzy shades you can imagine I was over the moon receiving this.

Within the palette there is :-
1. Luster which is a matte shade I would say is like a camel kind of colour which is great as a base.
2. Reflective elegance this is like orange undertoned shimmering colour like a golden goddess would wear type shade.
3. Copper is king and as it says in the name is a copper vibrant shimmering metallic shade.
4. Shining bright this is one of my favorite colours on the top line of this palette, I would say it's a mauve /brown.
5. Rusty petals again is a shimmery brown good for a smoky eye with an edge.
6. foil this is another shade that is a favorite of mine to wear for more of a daytime smokey eye as it's a more subtle brown toned shade.
7. Just a rose this is like a red toned copper.
8. Golden rule I think this personally is golden toned but also looks a bit khaki green.
9. Harmony with is matte and I would say a slate grey colour great for smokey eye and smudging and even using as a eyeliner.
10. Wounder full  this is a matte deep dark chocolate brown and again would be amazing to use as an eyeliner.

This palette is paraben free, no mineral oils, fragrance free, no phthalates.

they also contain vitamin E. and are made in Italy.

You can get this palette and also other zoeva products directly from there site or on www.beautybay.com

have a great evening guys xx

Naked 2

Well I finally gave in and bought this baby and I said i wasn't going to.
I had seen everyone had them in there collections and I was like nope not going to follow suit and get one, but then on and impulse i caved and bought it!!!.

So here it is.

What can i say its beautiful and I am glad I bought it and added it to my growing collection.
Naked 2 consists of 12 eyeshadows  this palette has the more neutral with slight shimmer colours in them which is the reason i chose this one in particular and i would say will suit all skin tones and eye colours.

Out of the 12 colours available there are  are 3 matte colours which are great for using as a eyeshadow base before applying more shimmery or brighter colours.

I particularly enjoy using matte shadows to cover the whole eye then i even take it through the crease and under the eyes to add more drama.

The other 8 shadows in the palate are highly pigmented and very good quality. They range from golds to copper colours and brown, silvery shades.

How beautiful a site is this i get so much joy every time i open this, Its exciting thinking of what looks to create and how to put the colours together. Every time its different and the names are very cool indeed i would love to know how they think to come up with the names.

These palettes are around thirty odd pounds which some folk might find very expensive but personally you get what you pay for and they are good quality and a good range of colours and different textures. They also have sturdy packaging that is useful when traveling and a decent sized mirror which is definitely a plus.

I am going to swatch the different colours onto my skin to show u these beautiful shades.

This is the first 4 colours in the set the first one is a matte cream colour called foxy, then we got crushed gold colour called half baked, 3rd colour in is called booty call and i would say this is a cream slight shimmer and then we get into the more stronger shades chopper a bronze colour, and tease which is a light taupe/ light brown shade which is great for crease.

Next up is snakebite my personal opinion is that this is a mix of bronze and brown.
next up is suspect definitely a good colour for summer as i golden but light and also be immense for a night out. pistol is the most amazing colour and i think my overall favorite one in pallette I would say this is a mix of khaki green and grey shimmer perfect smokey eye shadow for all occasions and a staple colour to have in any eyeshadow collection. Next up is verve shimmer silver and absolutely stunning colour this could also be used to brighten the eye and make the inner corner pop.

The shade that fascinates me is YDK i mean how do you come up with this name!!! its mad. anyway next shad is a mocha shimmer bronzed brown called busted, as u can probably tell there is a bronzed theme going on within the colour that has been chosen. And last but not least is the staple shadow that every one needs is a matte balck u can you to smoke the eye and i even use it as a liner rather than a pencil or liquid cos it can look much better.

Too Faced Sweet Peach

Well tonight I'm going to talk about one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes, the sweet peach and oh how sweet it is.

Lets start off by mentioning how beautiful the packaging is. It comes in this tin with the ombre pink to peach coloring with the too faced logo in the left hand corner and a big peach motif bottom right.

And if that wasn't enough it smells amazingly peachy.

Lets take a look inside shall we....

da daaaaaaaaaa lol the beauty right....

Ok so inside there are 18 shadows and a good range of color to chose from.

Now I was going to swatch them on my arm and take a photo but never looks great so I will do swatches and add that video to my instagram story soon and leave my instagram for those who wish to add and see it.

Top Row from left- right is-:

  • White peach which is a matte white good as a base and also can be used for a subtle highlight.
  • Luscious is one of my most used shadows in the palette and I would say its a metallic slight shimmery rose gold sort of shadow and stunning on its on or mixed in with other shadows.
  •  Just Peachy which is peach with slight shimmer and also good mixed in or used as a base shadow.
  • Bless Her Heart a lovely light green with slight shimmer.
  • Tempting which is a black with very slight shimmer in it and I personally would use it with a liner brush dry or wet as eye liner.
  • Charmed,I'm Sure is matte brown.
  •
  •
Middle Row.

  • Nectar  slightly shimmery golden yellow shade good for inner corners of eyes.
  •  Cobbler is coppery brown metallic
  • Candied Peach a bright peach with slight shimmer
  • Bellini another one I use a lot a rose goldish brown
  • Peach Pit dark shimmery brown
  • Delectable deep purple with slight shimmer

Last Row.
  • Peaches&Cream this is a matte or white color again good base shadow
  • Georgia matte light pink
  • Caramelized metallic caramel brown
  • Puree brown red undertone matte
  • Summer Yum rust kinda color
  • Talk Derby To Me  black with purple shimmery glitter

I was over the moon when I finally received this palette I always thought that the Urban Decay ones were the ultimate in Eye shadows but since using this and my Chocolate palette from too faced I have changed my mind.

I highly recommend this and the chocolate one to anyone over the urban decay, I mean don't get me wrong I have the urban decay ones and one I like most is naked 3 but I feel the quality of these too faced palettes are much better.

Well thats all for tonight I will do a instagram story video with swatches at some point and I will put my instagram details if you want to add me to see it.

And also I will get a review of the chocolate bar palette up soon.

Instgram is - make_up_lover1983.

I have just uploaded my instagram story video with swatched of this palette go have a look instagram address above.

Too Faced Peach Bronzer

Hello folks happy Friday it's a pretty wet one here on Skye today.
But when you have such beautiful items in your collection to blog about the day just gets brighter.

I am soooo excited about this post you have no idea, I first discovered too faced make up in boots in Glasgow when I was at college up until then I had never even heard of the brand. As I have always been into make up you know it was inevitable there was going to be major purchasing going on.

I saw this beauty and it changed my bronzer experience completely in the past I had tried body shop ones and the little bronzing beads and brands like rimmel and even Barry m and they did nothing for me I looked like I had been tangoed or thrown mud on myself.

This all changed when I discovered this amazing bronzer, it has thee most subtle tones ever and it looks amazing on the skin, now I have medium toned skin and it works perfectly for me doesn't look caked on or muddy and orange in anyway, also with having the hint of peach through the bronzer it gives that slight bit of brightening radiance.

It is the only bronzer I have literally used to the bitter end and hit pan on so you can imagine how disappointed I was when once out of this item and returning to boots to re purchase this bronzer they no longer had it, so I thought oh well this item must be very popular and is sold out I will try again another time.

To my dismay too faced has discontinued this item but have the pink leopard one in the collection still to this day.

I hunted high and low and could not find this item not even on e bay anywhere.

Then when on youtube a girl was talking about a website called glambots that you can buy and sell make up and low and behold there it was after years of hunting for it was my favorite bronzer.

So naturally I added it to my basket straight away without any hesitation.

As this company is based in the USA it took a few weeks to arrive but I am overjoyed to have it back in my life.

I have tweeted too faced and also written to them and posted on there instagram asking why they discontinued this item when they kept the pink version, according to customer services my messages have been passed onto the production team so fingers crossed we might see it back on the shelfs and on there website in permanent collection.

I have also just received a back up one from a girl selling one on e bay so I'm totally elated.

If you can't tell already this product is defiantly a staple that I would love to have in my collection for a long time to come and I would also love you all to be able to enjoy it with me. So also would be good if you got on board and contacted too faced also.

Anyway guys good to have this beauty back in my make up bag and I will enjoy it and lets hope you all get to also.

Much love

Julie xxx

Too Faced Chocolate Palette

This is nothing one of thee amazing palettes brought out by Too Faced, it comes in a tin like casing like the sweet peach palette and yes this one smells like chocolate!!!.

This palette contains 16 antioxidant rich powder infused matte and shimmer shades within the range of color such as natural browns, pinks and some plums. This palette is made with 100% natural cocoa powder.

So this is inside the palette beautiful isn't it.

Lets go through them by row.

first row we have, Gilded Gan ache I think it look slightly like a khaki green tint with brown and gold shimmer.
White Chocolate the longer one in top row is just your standard matte white shade.
Milk Chocolate which is a milk brown matte.
Black Forest Truffle a plummy brown shimmer most shimmery one in palette.
Triple Fudge the last one on first row that is a matte dark brown.

Second Row, Salted Caramel is a matte peachy orange shade.
Marzipan one of my most used ones is a shimmery gold pink.
Semi-sweet this is matte brown, there is a lot of browns.
Strawberry Bon Bon as described this is a pink and its also matte.
Candid Violet which is purple shimmer.
Amaretto oh my I love this shade another well used one.

Last row we have, Hazelnut a brown with slight golden shimmer.
Creme Brulee more golden shimmer.
Haute Chocolate love there play on words here is genius this is another darker brown with shimmer.
Cherry Cordial plum with shimmer another great shade I use.
Champagne Truffle is the other longer shade which is a pink shimmery shade that is alos great as a highlighter.

As with the Sweet Peach Palette I personally feel that these Too Faced palettes are much better quality than The Urban Decay ones.

Again I will put my instagram deatail to my page as I will out a instagram story video of swatches of this.

My Instagram is make_up_lover1983.

thanks again guys have a great weekend x.

Body Shop Pinta Colada

Well lets talk body butters, When it comes to my body and moisturizing I have to say I'm not religious in applying it which I should be better at.

When it comes to the body shop My all time love is the Strawberry range.

I have from time to time tried other scents and fragrances within the body shop range, I have heard of and seen this pinita colada collection that was launched in the summer.

I don't go into body shop as much as I used to back in the day so I never smelt or tried this range, So when I was I Glasgow recently I went in to body shop smelt it and fell in love with the scent.

As you can imagine its a very sweet scent with it being a mixture of pineapple and coconut.

I personally have never tried the actual drink but I imagine its super sweet tasting if the scent is anything to go by.

Its a very light weight cream but intensely moisturizing aimed at normal to dry skin.

Unfortunately it is limited edition so once its gone its gone which is a total shame.

There is a shower gel, body sorbet and a body scrub within the range and I have been lucky enough to enjoy the cream which is now done but I have the sorbet and scrub.

I can't say enough great things about it just a pity it is limited edition if your near a body shop go in see if they still got it and grab it.

have a good one guys x.

Tartelette pallete

Evening folks tonight I thought It was time to review this most amazing palette that has been added to my growing collection.

This is the Amazonian Clay Matte Palette.

It has the most beautiful shiny purple packaging on the front that makes it stand out an pop.

This exclusive Amazonian palette comes with all 12 eye shadow colours exclusively in matte texture no shimmer in sight.

I mean its totally beautiful isnt it arghhhhhhhhh.
all the 12 shadows are amazonian clay infused there also long wearing.
Paraben and phthalates free which is fantastic.

The formulation of these shadows are also without mineral oil, sodium and they're gluten free.

Lets have a run down of the shades within the palette.

My lovely hand haha. ok lets start with the 1st row of colors.

1. free spirit (cream)
2.force of nature (nude)
3.dreamer (warm brown)
4.multi-tasker (chocolate)

5. caregiver (pale pink)
6. natural beauty (mauve)
7.best friend (mulberry)
8. bombshell (dark plum)

9. super mom (ivory)
10.wanderer (light brown)
11.power player (taupe)
12 fashionista (black)

With the palette you also receive a pamphlet with two different eye looks which is amazing to give you some inspiration.

I have to say I purchased mine from Amazon and I Paid 59 pounds for this little baby, to then discover that on Tartes actual website and also on ebay you can get this palette for 30 odd pounds so I suggest not buying it from Amazon.

On the plus side the mirror is amazing its a great size and it makes you look fine not like some mirrors ha!.

my most used shades are free spirit, caregiver and best friend, getting an angled brush and wetting it with either a little water or if you have a makeup fixing spray use a little of that and spray it onto your brush, then u could use shades such as multi-tasker, bombshell and fashionista as an eyeliner.

Also the pigmentation in these shadows are intense and you don't need a lot, with this palette I would personally moisturize my face first and prime eyelids then apply desired shadows before doing foundation or concealing

in case of fall down to under the eyes from the shadows.

I am very much looking forward to adding to my tarte cosmetics collection.

Rituals Magic Touch Cream

I decided it was about time I told you all about the most amazing item I have discovered and I'm obsessed with.

Like many woman out there I am sure you have all been in the same situation where you try so many different body lotions and potions, from drug store brands to high end ones that promise you all kinds of miracles and amazing things.

Now I confess I'm a sucker for a good selling point and also nice packaging and most importantly if the products smells good then its instant attraction for me.

In February I discovered the heaven that is the brand Rituals, they have probably been around for forever but I had the joy of them becoming apart of my skin care and since February i have never looked back.

Without further a do let me introduce you to
Rituals magic touch ultra rich, whipped body cream.

It comes in a 200ml tub and consists of a beautiful rich cream with an amazing scent of, cherry blossom and rice milk.

Its velvety formula just melts into your skin like a dream and the smell lasts for a long time and it sooooo good.

The formula contains antioxidants, vitamin E and centella asiatica to help strengthen your skin.

I really don't know what more to say other than i love this product i am currently on my 3rd tub of the cream, and have gone on to buy a few more items from this particular collection from the range.

i will leave the website details below and i definitely recommend trying it out.

The tub of cream is 17 pounds i personally think it is worth every penny and good value for 200ml.

I hope some of you get the chance to go and have a look in some of the local stores than supply this range such as

house of fraser.
&
jenners.

you can also find rituals on.

Revlon Treat And Boost

Evening folks tonight I'm going to talk about a nail product, All my life I have had nail envy from being that little girl watching my older cousin putting on nail polish I was in awe, it has never been about having the longest nails but having nicer shaped and longer nail beds would be fantastic, but as they say we can't have everything we want.

These are some photos of my nails as you can see there not long and they are never shaped the same way and grow so annoyingly.

So through my years I'm now 32 I have just plodded on using different brands of nail polish and being perfectly honest I hate painting my nails I don't have the patience to wait for them to dry so they always end up smudging or they chip and I get annoyed.

A good few years ago I decided to try out acrylic extensions and went and got them put onto my very short nails they looked amazing and I was pleased, when they were removed my nails were totally wrecked even worse than normal.

Now I have brittle, thin, weak nails they even were splitting when wasn't much of a nail there to begin with.

After having these nail enhancements I decided to get a nail strengthener I tried out brands from rimmel, barry m, opi, and even went for a more up market priced nail recovery set and nothing at all was working.
My nails were to damaged that it was sometimes even painful to touch anything as they were breaking and it was straight down the nail type of damage.

Needless to say I have since the acrylic nails had gel nails done and there supposed to be better for your nails and even tried calgel which is supposed to promote natural growth in your own nails, if it does well it didn't for me.

For past year or so I have been using Revlon treat and boost polish which retails at 7 odd pounds so not to expensive.
Its a clear polish which does look pink in the bottle but goes on nails clear, its fast drying and doesn't chip at all.

It contains vitamins and antioxidant and you can either apply it daily which I would advice doing defiantly to start off with for the first few weeks if your nails are particularly bad.

Or pop it on as needed onto your bare nails or under a polish color of your choice.

Whatever it is about this product and brand I'm not sure but it works for me don't get my wrong my nails are not amazing or super strong and with the job I do cleaning there taking a battering with chemicals and in and out of water all the time. But defiantly from using this product I've noticed a difference in my nails.

With it not chipping which I can assure you it doesn't I would remove the polish after a few days and re apply just so your getting the full benefits from the polish.

I just want to say I still do go and get gel nails done as I'm a girl an its nice to have someone else do your nails for you. But in my experience and I know everyone nails different don't go for acrylic nails go for natural or gel nails if you want a change and always make sure they are

removed properly. Also buy a cuticle cream and oil and do this on your nails at least once a week.

Again thanks for popping bye and take care xxxx.
